Tempo Sauna

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Tempo Sauna website, booking platform, or services. By accessing our website at temposauna.com or booking a sauna rental, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services

Tempo Sauna provides mobile wood-fired sauna rental services in the Thurston County and South King County areas of Washington State. Our services include:

Private Rentals: Overnight self-service sauna delivery to your location
Event Bookings: Hosted sauna experiences for weddings, corporate events, retreats, and gatherings

Service availability is subject to our delivery zone, which is determined during the booking process.

2. Booking and Payments

Reservations

All bookings are made through our online booking platform. By submitting a booking, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Deposits and Pricing

A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation
Deposit amounts are displayed during the booking process before payment
The remaining balance is charged 48 hours before your scheduled delivery
All prices are in US Dollars and include applicable fees

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable amounts to your payment method.

Booking Approval

Some bookings may require manual approval based on scheduling availability. You will be notified by email if your booking requires approval. Your payment method will only be charged upon approval.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel a confirmed booking through your customer portal. Refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel:

Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.

Tempo Sauna reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to Force Majeure Events (see Section 15). In such cases, a full refund will be issued or an alternative date will be offered at the customer’s choice.

4. Delivery and Setup Requirements

By booking a sauna delivery, you agree to:

Provide a flat, level surface of at least 10x10 feet for sauna placement
Ensure the placement area is at least 10 feet from any structure, fence, vegetation, or combustible material
Ensure the delivery location is accessible for our delivery vehicle and trailer
Provide accurate delivery address information within our service area (Thurston County and South King County, WA)

Our mobile sauna is wood-fired and does not require an electrical outlet or hookup.

Tempo Sauna is not responsible for delays or inability to deliver caused by inaccurate address information, inaccessible delivery locations, or failure to meet setup requirements. If we are unable to complete delivery due to site conditions that do not meet the requirements above, the booking will be treated as a late cancellation under Section 3.

5. Fire Safety

Our mobile sauna is a wood-fired unit. By booking, you acknowledge and agree to the following fire safety requirements:

The sauna must be placed on a non-combustible or fire-resistant surface (gravel, concrete, bare dirt, or patio).
Maintain a minimum clearance of 10 feet from all structures, fences, trees, brush, and other combustible materials.
Do not place any flammable materials on, near, or inside the sauna.
Do not leave the sauna unattended while the fire is burning.
A fire extinguisher or connected garden hose must be accessible within 25 feet of the sauna during use.
Comply with all local fire codes, burn bans, and air quality advisories in effect at your location. It is your responsibility to verify whether any burn restrictions apply on your booking date.
If a county or municipal burn ban is issued after your booking is confirmed but before your rental date, Tempo Sauna will work with you to reschedule at no charge, or issue a full refund.

You are responsible for any property damage or fire-related incidents resulting from failure to follow these fire safety requirements.

6. Liability Waiver

All customers are required to sign a Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement before their booking is confirmed. The waiver includes:

Acknowledgment of inherent risks associated with wood-fired sauna use, including but not limited to heat exposure, burns, dehydration, and smoke inhalation
Assumption of risk for all participants during the rental period
Release of liability for injuries or property damage arising from normal and intended use
Acknowledgment of fire safety requirements and proper sauna use guidelines
Emergency contact information

The full waiver is provided during the booking process and must be signed digitally before your reservation is confirmed. A copy of the signed waiver will be available in your customer portal.

7. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

Use the sauna safely and in accordance with provided guidelines
Not move, modify, or tamper with the sauna equipment after delivery and setup
Supervise all guests using the sauna during your rental period
Follow all fire safety requirements in Section 5
Report any damage, malfunction, or safety concerns promptly
Ensure all users of the sauna are 18 years of age or older. Minors may be present at the delivery location but must not use the sauna unless directly supervised by the booking adult, who assumes full responsibility.
Not use the sauna while under the influence of alcohol or drugs

You are responsible for any damage to the sauna equipment caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety guidelines during your rental period.

Damage Assessment

In the event of damage to the sauna equipment during your rental period, Tempo Sauna will assess the damage and provide you with a written description and repair or replacement cost estimate within 7 business days of the equipment’s return. You will have 14 days to dispute the assessment. Charges for damage will be applied to the payment method on file, and you will be notified before any charge is processed.

8. SMS Communications

If you opt in to receive SMS messages from Tempo Sauna:

Message types: Booking confirmations, delivery reminders, appointment updates, and customer service messages
Message frequency: Varies based on booking activity
Message and data rates may apply
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe
Help: Reply HELP for assistance

We do not send promotional or marketing text messages. All SMS communications are transactional and related to your bookings or account.

9. User Accounts

When you create an account on our customer portal, you are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts at our sole discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Tempo Sauna website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Tempo Sauna and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TEMPO SAUNA AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TEMPO SAUNA FOR THE SPECIFIC BOOKING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises from these Terms or your use of our services, the parties agree to the following resolution process:

Step 1 — Informal Resolution. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at info@temposauna.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.

Step 2 — Binding Arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved informally within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or a mutually agreed-upon arbitration provider. Arbitration shall take place in Thurston County, Washington. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Step 3 — Small Claims Exception. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Thurston County, Washington, if the claim falls within the court’s jurisdictional limits.

Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not resolved through arbitration shall be resolved in the courts located in Thurston County, Washington.

15. Force Majeure

Tempo Sauna shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”), including but not limited to:

Severe weather events, including but not limited to wind advisories, ice storms, snow accumulation, flooding, or extreme heat warnings issued by the National Weather Service
County or municipal burn bans or air quality advisories
Wildfire, wildfire smoke events, or red flag fire danger warnings
Road closures, transportation disruptions, or hazardous driving conditions
Power outages
Natural disasters, earthquakes, or volcanic activity
Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergencies
Government orders, emergency declarations, or regulatory actions
Equipment failure or damage that renders the sauna unsafe for use
Illness or medical emergency of Tempo Sauna personnel

In the event of a Force Majeure Event, Tempo Sauna will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer either a full refund or rebooking at a mutually agreeable date at no additional charge. Routine Pacific Northwest rain does not constitute a Force Majeure Event.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
